WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL HOBART 2017

It was the first day of Wooden Boat Festival 2017. Plenty of people were out and enjoying the beautiful weather and festivities.

Beautiful morning. Calm before the lunch time crowd.

She was the cutest of them all and she’s been everywhere.

Can you spot a dog?

Governor’s cool ride
Papyrus dinghy

This nice gentleman entertained everyone with beautiful music and interesting story to tell under the fierce sun. Well done you.

Plenty of food stalls to choose from, spread out across the wharf area. Ironically there were more food stalls than the Taste of Tasmania, which was more of a booze festival.

Jerk chicken with potatoes. $15 from Waji. www.waji.com.au
Beef and broccoli stir fry with rice $10. Correa’s Kitchen. A Filipino food stall.

It’s definitely worth a visit if you have the time. There’s plenty to see and eat. The festival goes on from Friday the 10th Feb till Monday the 13th Feb. PW1 and spread across the wharf area.
