Willie Smiths Apple Shed Café is half an hour from Hobart just before Huonville. I have been going to the Apple Shed quite frequently as the weather gets colder and the whole of Tassie quietens down a bit. It gets crazy during warmer months. The entire island is chock a block nowadays. I am enjoying the moment of calm and quiet. I like the food and atmosphere of Apple shed but it’s a pain in the butt to find a parking in summer and the service tends to be slow understandable considering how busy the place gets.
Their food menu changes all the time. Sometimes they post it on the Facebook page.
If you like mussel and it happens to be on the menu, try it. You won’t regret it. There are a few different versions of it and the one below is cooked in cider. They are usually around $20 and offered on weekends.
